SNMP Monitoring Software for Microsoft Servers

Since January 4^th, 1999 CIT has been deploying the SNMP service on servers running Microsoft Windows Operating Systems. This service is available to all Departments that have signed a Partnership Agreement with EIS, and wish to have their servers monitored.

This service utilizes Microsoft SNMP Service, and CIT' s Spectrum System which provides Department System Administrators with information pertaining to the loss of ‘Network Connectivity’ to that specified server.

A EIS Representative will coordinate the initial installation and configuration of this service upon the request of the Department's System Administrator. The Administrator will then be responsible for adhering to the guidelines that are specified in the SNMP Monitoring Responsibilities.
